So sad...

How do you explain to a 1 year old that it is too cold to go outside and play? I was in the garage helping Elle sort Girl Scout cookies and we left the door to the house open. Beks has figured out how to get down the steps so she kept climbing down and trying to make a break for it. While Elle was delivering to a house I got baby's hat and coat on her and let her walk around the driveway for a bit. She was so happy, but the wind gusts kept knocking her down, and her little cheeks and hands were red and cold after just walking down the driveway and around the truck. So back in we went and she has been screaming ever since. Even as she is wringing her hands because they hurt from the cold. Yesterday we had beautiful weather and the kids were all playing in the back. She loved being out with the bigger toddlers, walking around, and getting dirty. Today is just too cold and windy and she is so sad.
